Abstract:
In this final degree project, a program to improve depressive symptoms has been designed and taught, which has been tested in an experimental study made up of a sample of 24 people divided into three groups: Experimental, accompaniment and without program. To evaluate the results, the pretest-post technique was carried out using the simplified version of the Yesavage geriatric depression scale, among other methods, such as systematic observation, data collection, satisfaction surveys and interviews. The general conclusion drawn in this study is that, as long as there is consistency in attendance, the program is effective, providing its participants with a significant reduction in depressive symptoms. It has been observed that the program is not only successful in reducing levels of depression, but also provides other benefits such as increased motivation, participation and social skills.
