Differences between shift workers in the service sector in anxiety, depression and the Burnout Syndrome

  • Identification data

    Identifier:  TFG:6420
    Authors:  Tena Pereda, Marc
    Abstract:
The research is to compare the levels of anxiety, depression and burnout among three shift workers and administer three standardized questionnaires (BAI, BDI-II, CESQT). The data were analyzed with SPSS and the results indicated that workers on the afternoon/evening and night shifts had higher levels of anxiety and stress than workers on the morning shift. In the depression variable, despite observing a signifcant effect of the shift, the differences between shifts could not be located. These results show the need to implement preventive programs in companies aimed at workers with rotating shifts.
