    Identifier:  TFG:6585
    Authors:  Jiménez Aguilar, Juan Manuel
    Abstract:
This study aimed to investigate the effects of surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy on breast cancer (BC) patients by analyzing their metabolome and identifying metabolic biomarkers for treatment response. Post-treatment samples showed progressive normalization of metabolites associated with nucleotide and carbohydrate metabolism. Surgery and radiotherapy significantly influenced BC patients' metabolome, potentially associated with cancer cell eradication. Moreover, the study identified potential biomarkers for BC diagnosis from plasma samples. Different treatments led to distinct metabolic profiles based on clinicopathological characteristics.
