Human papillomavirus: epidemiological study of cases analyzed in Eldine Patología and correlation with bibliographic data

    Abstract:
    Human papillomavirus (HPV) is a DNA virus that is characterized by its ability to infect cutaneous and mucosal epithelial cells. Its infection can be sexually transmitted (STI), quite widespread among the sexually active population. There are various HPV detection techniques. Some of them: Hybrid Capture 2 ®, Cobas ® PCR, AmpliPAP-HPV ® KIT and QiaScreen PCR test ®; used in Eldine Pathology. Based on the samples analyzed in Eldine Pathology in a period between 01/01/2013 and 12/31/2022 from the different health areas of Catalonia, the aim is to study the correlation of the results with the bibliographic data of global epidemiology. and local.
