    Abstract:
Alzheimer disease is a neurodegenerative disease of the brain, which carries catastrophic consequences for patients, relatives and global economy. Furthermore, nowadays its treatment consists on delaying the appearance of more serious symptoms; therefore the sooner it is diagnostic, the more benefits for patients’ cognitive health. In order to find new prevention and early diagnosis techniques, this study has examined the epigenetic modulations of miRNAs 146a-5p, 155-5p, 181c-5p, 19a-3p, 22-3p, 29c-3p and 320a-3p induced by a high fat diet. The results from serum and cortex samples obtained from wild type and APP/PS1 mice, propose miR-19a-3p and 146a-5p as potential biomarkers.
