    Abstract:
The bidirectional communication between the nerve terminal and myocytes occurs at the neuromuscular junction. Through Western blot techniques, we have identified an activity-dependent complex protein network. The present project aims to use a broader spectrum technique such as proteomic analysis to identify proteome changes induced by synaptic activity. Diaphragm muscles from young adult wild-type Sprague-Dawley rats were separated into three groups: control, nerve stimulation and nerve stimulation with muscle contraction. The proteomic protocol was performed by the Centre for Omic Sciences. We analyzed the proteome by an untargeted using MetaboAnalyst and by a targeted approach making functional groups of proteins.
