Abstract:
With the aim of determining the consequences, it is carried out by classifying the working population by gender and sector. In addition, the impact on the demand for work in a very affected sector is analyzed in relation to salary changes resulting from the variation of the SMI. The analysis is separated into three time periods. The economic and labor market situation is analyzed for each period. Then we proceed with the analysis of the incidence of the implementation of the SMI on unemployment, taking the proportion of the population most sensitive to the measure (by gender and sector). Finally, the variation in the demand for workers when the new SMI is implemented is analyzed.
