The access to justice in matters of environment in Spain: a comparative analysis of Chile and Ecuador

    Abstract:
    This paper aims to analyze the current state of access to justice in environmental matters in Spain, as well as a comparative analysis with Chile and Ecuador. To this end, is first explained the history of access to justice in environmental matters both international as European fields. Next, special reference is made to national field and to Law 27/2006 of 18th of July, which standardises the rights of access to information, public participation and of access to justice in environmental matters and also makes mention of the Autonomous Communities. Finally, after getting to know the access to justice in environmental matters in Spain, is made a comparative analysis with Chile, making reference to their Environmental Courts, and Ecuador, where a special mention is made to its constitution.
