    Abstract:
    ABSTRACT: Dual diagnosis is not defined neither in DSMV nor in CIE, is defined by professionals like the concurrence in a person who features a psychiatric disorder and drugs consummation disorder. There is not a defined diagnostic criterion, and that makes that lots of patients can´t be diagnosed on time. People with a mental health diagnosis have between 25-50% of probability to develop a dual diagnosis. Most of this patients feature similar characteristics, a very special character and is necessary to learn to treat with it. It’s proved that integrated treatment is the most effective in this pathology because mental health and drug addiction is treated in the same center with the same professionals. Dual diagnosis unities must be formed by a multidisciplinary group of different areas to contribute a better care for the patient and an early rehabilitation. Dual diagnosis nursing professional must perform holistic reviews, issue diagnostics, and plan cares and make them happen. To make possible to stimulate the functions before written is very important to create a therapeutic relationship for patient and professional benefit. Nowadays in dual diagnosis miss means and studies to make better the care and the rehabilitation of this people.
