The impact of inflammatory bowel disease on quality of life and sexual health

Abstract:
Improving quality of life is an important aspect to consider in a person with inflammatory bowel disease. The prevalence of sexual dysfunction has increased. The objective of this systematic review is to search for articles related to this problem that evaluate their quality of sexual life multidimensionally. In conclusion, the existence of a lack of research by researchers and interest by professionals on sexuality, we find that IBD is directly related to sexual dysfunction. This affectation entails many physical and psychological effects that impact sexual life.
