    Abstract:
This paper reviews the literature on electrode placement in electrocardiograms (ECGs) and their impact on the accuracy of cardiac diagnosis. The relationship between improper placement and ECG artifacts is analyzed, as well as proposals to improve accuracy. The methodology consisted of a systematic review of databases, selecting 13 articles. The results show that improper electrode placement can lead to erroneous diagnoses, highlighting the importance of correct placement to avoid incorrect interpretations in clinical practice. It is recommended that staff be trained to improve the quality of ECG recordings.
