    Abstract:
This study evaluated adherence to combined oral contraceptives using the Morisky Medication Adherence Scale 4-item (MMAS-4) and factors that could influence adherence. Individualized counseling in which women are involved in decision-making can promote adherence to treatment. Combined oral contraceptives (COCs) require a high level of involvement by the user to ensure the expected effect. However, this method is prescribed without taking into account whether the woman is compliant. In our study, only 13 women were found to be adherent to treatment.
