Abstract:
The project focuses on the sizing and calculation of a bus station in Vila-Seca, a medium-sized municipality in the Camp de Tarragona. This infrastructure facilitates access to surrounding areas, promoting tourism and local commerce, and improving regional connectivity. The new station includes a building that integrates areas dedicated to ticket sales, waiting spaces for users, and a vending machine zone. Among its essential elements are an embarkation platform organized by destinations and schedules, clear signage, sanitary services, accessibility for people with reduced mobility, and internet connectivity. In addition to the main building, the installation of a canopy in the bus arrival area is planned to facilitate user access to the vehicles. This canopy provides a protected space where users can wait, designed to withstand the typical climatic conditions of the municipality, such as rain, wind, or intense sun. The project encompasses all necessary aspects for the proper construction of the bus station, including detailed structural calculations to ensure the solidity and safety of the main building, the development of installations such as the fire study, a waste management plan, and the calculation of the electrical network. An adequate budget is also allocated, and accessibility for people with reduced mobility and other special needs is ensured. Additionally, the calculation of the potable water network, wastewater treatment, and stormwater management is included. Finally, the project follows all pertinent norms and regulations, including construction standards, structural safety, accessibility, and environmental regulations, thus guaranteeing the structural integrity and optimal functionality of the bus station
