Design and execution project of a sports center in Vila-seca

    Abstract:
    The objective of the project is the design and construction of a sports center in Vila-seca by the promoter ELIT-FIT. The plot, with an area of 4,163 m2, is currently in a state of abandonment. The main activity planned for this center is gymnastics, with other activities derived from it such as yoga, calisthenics, and crossfit. The facilities will consist of the main building where all the machines and necessary equipment for gymnastics will be located, a second attached building as a boiler room, an outdoor exercise area, and parking. The entire building structure has been manually calculated except for the footings, which were calculated along with the tying beams using calculation software. For the manual calculations, the actions of pillars, beams, and hollow slabs have been studied, which were subsequently compared to the maximum allowable values permitted by the manufacturer based on the span length. Finally, with the loads obtained on the pillar and adding its weight, they are applied to the footings, and through the Cype software, the dimensions of the footings are obtained. The building will have facilities for drinking water, sewage, rainwater drainage network, electrical network, lighting, air conditioning, and fire protection installation. The facilities have primarily been calculated using DIALux and dmELECT software with CIEBT and Building Installations extensions. Finally, the construction of the building amounts to a material execution cost of 1,238,625.10€ and a final cost based on bidding of 1,783,496.28€.
