    Abstract:
    How does information influences emotional condition of patients diagnosed of cancer Introduction: The cancer is one of the principal reasons of morbidity and mortality in the whole world. Though it affects persons of all the ages, the majority of the cases happens in individuals >65 years of life. There is foreseen that the number of new cases increases in approximately 70% in the next 20 years, nonetheless lucky the risk of mortality has diminished of considerable in the last ones 20 years. Objective: To conduct a bibliographical review to know if there is a link between the information that patients diagnosed with cancer received and their emotional state. Methods: A systematic search is executed in databases Cuiden, Cinahl and Pubmed, adding also results from manual search, then proceeds to the exhaustive reading of the opposing articles valuing their relevancy on the established objective. Finally, the above mentioned references are analyzed by intention of understanding which is the current situation in relation to the information, communication and emotional well-being of the patients diagnosed with cancer. Results: The research backed 460 results. Once applied the criteria of incorporation and exclusion, there were selected a total of 18 articles for the study (5 of Cuiden, 9 of Cinahl, 3 of Pubmed and 1 of manual search). Conclusions: A clear link exists between information that the patients diagnosed with cancer receive and how this one concerns their emotional state. Nurses must be trained to satisfy with opportune form the needs of information from patients and family, that will always be individual and changeable in every stage of the disease. It is important to embrace a model of shared decisions in which understandable information must be provided to the patients on their own disease in order to achieve a major implication of these in their process of health.
