Nursing care of the polytraumatized patient and staffing requirements for out-of-hospital emergencies

    Abstract:
    Abstract Objective: Know the acting way and the nursing professionals profile facing a trauma patient in the Extrahospitalary Emergency. Methodology Bibliography search in the main data bases (Pubmed, Cinahl, Cuiden, Academic Google, Scielo, Elsevier), and other publications and reviews as the electronic medicine review, Emergency Medicine Journal, and the EMERGENCIES journal. The search oriented to two main themes, one is the nursing attention a trauma patient, and the other is the nursing professionals profile in a team Emergencies Extrahospitalary. Results: From the results obtained in the search for articles on nursing care to trauma patients they were obtained 507 articles, of which 43 were reviewed and for the study were chosen 12. From the results obtained in the search on the profile of nursing professionals in emergency medical equipment they were obtained 216 articles, of which 36 were reviewed and for the study were chosen 14. Discussion and Conclusions: The components of the emergency professionals profile are: Team work, leadership, humanity, interpersonal relationship capability, decision taking capability, orientation, proactivity, experience, clinical reasoning capability, confronting capability stress and good caring work. Talking of working phases, we find that the best patient classification methods are SHORT and START. The acting algorism used for facing the politraumatized patient is ABCDE. Finally, as the most effective method of information transfer between professionals we find SBAR method.
