    Authors:  Aragó Molés, Maria
    Abstract:
Lymphedema is a common complication of breast cancer that affects the quality of life. This work reviews the effectiveness of therapeutic exercise as treatment, comparing it with other passive options. Seventeen studies from the last 15 years were analyzed. The results show that therapeutic exercise, especially aquatic, resistance, and virtual reality exercise, is safe and improves lymphedema volume, strength, movement, and quality of life. Despite some limitations, it concludes that exercise is an effective and applicable option, with benefits equal to or greater than those of passive treatments.
