    Abstract:
Secondary lymphedema is a common sequel of breast cancer that affects both physical and mental health. This review analyzes the effectiveness of therapeutic exercise in its treatment, comparing it with passive treatments. Of the 51 studies found, 17 were included, with results showing that exercise is not harmful and can improve volume, strength, functionality, and quality of life. Aquatic, resistance exercises, and virtual reality are particularly beneficial. Despite some methodological limitations, therapeutic exercise is confirmed as an effective option.
