    Abstract:
The vertical jump is key in basketball and can be altered by the manipulation of the ball. This cross-sectional observational study analyzed the movement patterns of 32 players (14 men, 18 women) while performing jumps with and without the ball. Joint angles, stability, and postural alignment were evaluated during the loading and landing phases using descriptive statistical analysis and paired t-tests. It is expected that the presence of the ball negatively influences technical execution, especially in trunk stability and control, and that the differences will be more pronounced in the female group.
