Efficacy of therapeutic exercise in patients with secondary lymphedema for breast cancer: systematic review

    Abstract:
    Lymphedema is one of the main consequences of breast cancer. This review aims to analyze the effectiveness of therapeutic exercise in treatment. To do so, the PRISMA guidelines are followed and 17 articles are obtained with the inclusion criteria. This review concludes that therapeutic exercise is safe and beneficial in the treatment of lymphedema, achieving the same or better results than passive treatments, and its use should be personalized for each case.
