  • Identification data

    Identifier:  TFG:8572
    Authors:  Blesa Cambra, Xavier
    Abstract:
This pilot study assessed the effectiveness of a physiotherapy program with orofacial exercises, relaxation, and stretching in individuals with a clinical diagnosis of bruxism. Over four weeks, two groups (control and intervention) were compared through in-person assessments of mandibular and headache pain, range of motion of the temporomandibular joint, chewing function, and satisfaction. Nine people participated, and statistically significant differences were found only in the reduction of headache pain at 15 days in the intervention group. The program was not effective in reducing mandibular pain or improving other assessed variables at the end of the intervention.
