    Abstract:
Metabolic syndrome (MetS) is a set of metabolic risk factors that is particularly concerning in women. Hormonal changes produce metabolic imbalances, leading to the accumulation of visceral fat, increased blood pressure, and alterations in the lipid profile. Physiotherapy and therapeutic exercise are effective in improving these components. Despite this, there is still a lack of systematization and critical analyses focusing on women and physiotherapeutic protocols. Consequently, a systematic review is necessary to assess the effectiveness of therapeutic exercise as a treatment for MetS in women. This review aims to contribute to the comprehensive approach of a complex condition, with a global and updated perspective to design evidence-based protocols.
