  • Identification data

    Identifier:  TFG:8586
    Authors:  García Gil, Estela
    Abstract:
This pilot study evaluated the effectiveness of an online physiotherapy exercise program in individuals with disc dislocation of the temporomandibular joint. Adults with a clinical diagnosis participated, divided into control and intervention groups over 4 weeks. Joint clicking, jaw pain, mouth opening, and chewing were assessed. Although no statistically significant differences were found between groups, possibly due to the small sample size, the intervention group showed a trend toward improvement. It is concluded that the program was not effective, although the results suggest a potential utility for future research in the physiotherapeutic treatment of this dysfunction.
