Abstract:
DAY BY DAY WITH POLYPHARMACY. Abstract The aim of this study is to learn how the basic activities of daily living of elderly, retired, autonomous and polymedicated are influenced. To achieve this, a qualitative study was performed using an inductive and phenomenological method. First of all, a literature search and then three semi-structured interviews were taken by three women of Tarragona. The participants were chosen by sampling technique snowball. The results were drawn from interviews in personal hygiene and mobility are the basic activities of daily life that are reduced. Therefore, the conclusions ,in the group interviewed, were that taken more than 5 different drugs causes more risks, side effects and worsens the quality of life.
