    Abstract:
Our final degree project is a systematic review that analyzes the effectiveness of aquatic therapy in the rehabilitation of patients with cerebrovascular accident (CVA). CVA can cause significant motor deficits in the lower extremities, affecting gait, balance and autonomy. Frequent sequelae include hemiplegia, spasticity and proprioceptive alterations. Physiotherapy, within an interdisciplinary approach, is key to functional recovery. In this context, hydrotherapy is presented as a promising intervention, thanks to the properties of water that favor movement, improve muscle tone, balance and proprioception.
