    Abstract:
    Introduction. Extracorporeal shock waves (ESWT) and ultrasound (US) are two non-invasive techniques that act on tissues using waves and pulses, inducing hyperstimulation to increase local blood flow. This process produces an anti-inflammatory effect that promotes muscle relaxation and reduces the sensation of pain. In addition, both modalities stimulate the metabolic activity of the treated area and promote tissue regeneration. Objective.
