    Abstract:
A randomized clinical trial was conducted with 17 soccer players to evaluate the effect of 140 Hz Focal Vibration on activation of the vastus medialis of the quadriceps muscle. Participants performed an exercise session with or without vibration (intervention group vs. placebo). No statistically significant differences were found between groups, although the intervention group showed non-significant improvements in forefoot and instep shots. It is concluded that a single session of Focal Vibration does not produce significant changes in muscle activation measured by electromyography.
