    Abstract:
Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) derived from extracellular vesicles (EVs) in subcutaneous adipose tissue (SAT) show promise as an anti-inflammatory therapy for conditions such as Crohn’s disease (CD). This study explored their effects on creeping fat and intestinal mucosa of CD patients. EVs significantly increased anti-inflammatory markers in creeping fat, with trends observed in the mucosa. However, they did not completely reverse inflammation in THP-1 cells due to limited uptake. EVs maintained anti-inflammatory effects in creeping fat, reducing pro-inflammatory markers for 72 hours. Further research is needed to improve efficacy and elucidate underlying mechanisms, supporting their therapeutic potential.
