    Abstract:
Sepsis is a life-threatening organ dysfunction caused by a dysregulated immune response to an infectious agent. The aim was to identify lipid profiles and metabolic pathways linked to sepsis progression and clinical severity using lipidomic and SCFA data of 186 plasma samples from 49 patients collected at different time points with the help of IBM SPSS Statistics (version 15.0.1) and MetaboAnalyst (version 6.0). Sepsis outcomes are influenced by both age and sex. The plasma lipid profile significantly changes as sepsis progresses and severity increases, suggesting a potential role for lipid biomarkers in monitoring and understanding sepsis pathophysiology.
