    Identifier:  TFG:9037
    Authors:  Silva Morro, Núria
    Abstract:
The NEMO score is a score based on 5 hematological parameters from the Sysmex analyzer, it was evaluated as a biomarker for viral infections. The study assessed its effectiveness in patients positive for SARS-CoV-2, RSV, IAV, and IBV, and examined differences based on age and sex. The results showed high discriminatory power for SARS-CoV-2 and RSV infections, but low for IBV. Its performance also varied with age and sex. It is concluded that the NEMO score could serve as a complementary tool in the diagnosis of viral infections, although further studies are needed to confirm its clinical usefulness.
