Project and design of an industrial warehouse for sports facilities in Vila-seca

    Abstract:
    This Final Degree Project aims to design and develop a multi-sport pavilion in the municipality of Vila-seca (Tarragona), on an urban plot of 7,003 m² located on Vila del Comú Avenue. Currently, the land is undeveloped and classified as a plot with buildings in a poor condition. The main goal of the project is to meet the need expressed by the Vila-seca Town Council to provide the municipality with a covered and versatile sports facility that complies with the minimum requirements established by the Catalan Sports Council for PAV-2 pavilions, as well as with current technical regulations. The complex will consist of a covered multi-sport court, accompanied by two indoor and two outdoor padel courts, all suitable for various sports disciplines. The building will feature a metal structure, with a gable roof and enclosures that meet thermal and safety requirements. The facility design includes: two locker rooms with referee services, two group locker rooms and two collective locker rooms, a first aid room, an auxiliary storage and cleaning area, three restrooms with direct court access, plus two accessible restrooms for people with reduced mobility, an administrative area, access control and surveillance point, technical and maintenance storage rooms, public restrooms for men and women, a restroom for people with reduced mobility, and three spectator stands. The pavilion will be equipped with a rainwater and wastewater drainage system, a potable water installation with solar contribution for domestic hot water production, and a fire protection system in accordance with current regulations. The project also includes a boiler room and an outdoor parking area for users. Throughout the project development, several technical tools and programs have been used, such as CYPE, DIALux, CIEBT, CHEQ4, AutoCAD, and PRESTO 25 for budgeting. The proposal emphasizes sustainable construction, with special attention to environmental respect and energy efficiency, always following the principles of responsible design.
