    Abstract:
    This Bachelor's Thesis focuses on the synthesis and characterization of a mesogenic molecule (TAP) and the development of a synthetic methodology for a linear polyether that can be laterally modified with the mesogen TAP. It is expected that the binding of TAP to the polyether will confer liquid crystal properties to the resulting polymer. Furthermore, these systems could be used to prepare membranes that enable proton transport in fuel cells, thereby generating green energy.
