Abstract. Nowadays, gender violence is still a big public health issue, that affects people of all ages, regardless of purchasing power or social status of the individuals and has great impact in those people who suffer or have suffered violence against women. As said by many autors , to stop a problem from the root it takes to aboard it from its beginning , trhough prevention and education of the youngest ones. For that reason this essay is focused in gender violence on teenagers and also in the two current plans in Catalunya based on prevetion and approachment to this problem. This essay is the result of a thorough bibliographical and documentary research and the analisys of an experimental test of two interviews with nursing professionals and a high school teacher, with the purpouse of finding out what perception, knowledge and resources do these professionals have about violence against women, its prevention and the way to approach to it. After the review of the plans, we have to think that they include enough tools, on one side to train professionals in how to aboard and prevent and promote relationships of equality and respect between teenagers and on the other side to give a wide variety of activities and resources. In spite of that we’ve been able to see that the numbers of gender violence between teenagers and their perception of violence against women are still alarming. For this reason this essay also pretends to find out what do implied professionals and professionals thay could be implied in these plans think, about their training in gender violence, their knowledge of these prevention plans and the situation of violence against women between teenagers. Even though the results won’t be conclusive due to be an experimental test and it is should be necessary to do more interviews.
