Market study for the creation of a social club in the Tarragonès Region

    Abstract:
    The present paper, carried out in collaboration with the association Ment i Salut La Muralla, focuses on carrying out a market study providint the necessary information to decide in wich area of the Tarragonès Region is more appropiate the establishment of a new social club focused on people with mental disorders. To address this question, the study includes an analysis of the current mental health situation in the area, analyzing both the population’s needs and the avaliability and accessibility of existing services. Once the most suitable area is identified, the potencial impact of the new club is evaluated through the calculation of the Social Return On Investment (SROI), a methodology that measures the social value generated by a social project and helps determine whether the initiative is a worthwhile investment for the association and other skateholders involved.
