    Abstract:
    Objectives: 1) To review the nursing care in the process of grieving family members of cancer patients in the terminal phase. 2) See the current status between the cancer and the family in the scientific literature. 3) Identify the importance of the accompaniment of the grieving family members of cancer patients. Methodology: this is a bibliographic research carried out from September 2015 until may 2016. The research is carried out, mostly Spanish, using concepts of nursing related to cancer. Results: 80% of the people who care are women. The topic of cancer negatively affects not only the patient but also for the family. These usually suffer episodes of anxiety and depression, social isolation and may even suffer physical problems. Therefore it is necessary to help the family in this process to avoid potential complications in the personal life. Conclusions: the non-cancer affects in the same way in all families. The caregivers of cancer patients have a physical, emotional and psychological welfare poor, therefore it is very important that there is good communication between professionals, families and patients. the most common feelings that will suffer are pain, uncertainty, worry for the future, anxiety, anger, social isolation and reduction of the activities of daily living of the person
