Abstract:
This work analyses business growth and the associated organisational transformations in micro and small enterprises in the province of Tarragona, with a comparison between Baix Camp and Tarragonès. Based on a questionnaire structured in thematic blocks (growth measurement, internal resources, life cycle, transformations, strategy, barriers and success factors), trends and relationships between variables are examined using frequencies and Likert scales. The results show that growth is mainly associated with sales and that the sustainability of the process depends on internal professionalisation, the reduction of dependencies and the reinforcement of management.
