    Abstract:
A parallel bioinformatics tool has been developed to efficiently analyze the genomic variability of Zika (ZIKV) and Dengue (DENV) viruses. The algorithm, implemented in C++, accelerated the analysis of thousands of genomes up to 69 times. The study revealed that while some viral regions are highly variable (useful for vaccine design), others are highly conserved, such as the NS3 and NS5 genes. These conserved regions are confirmed as promising targets for the development of broad-spectrum antiviral drugs against both pathogens.
