Abstract:
SafeWay is a mobile application that improves safety on foot by offering three routes: fast, balanced and safe. It combines Google Directions data with a risk point model (crime, poor lighting and accident rate) and polyline cleaning algorithms to obtain clear routes. It includes information panels, safety recommendations, 112 emergency button and route history. The results show that it reduces risk exposure without losing efficiency or usability. Despite the limitations of simulated data, it opens the door to improvements with official sources and community contributions.
