    Abstract:
This research aims to analyse the viability and strategic importance of automobile production lines in Spain. To this end, it begins with an analysis of the sector's macroeconomic weight and historical evolution, followed by a detailed financial study of the annual accounts of SEAT S.A. and Volkswagen Navarra S.A. over the period 2010-2024, complemented by a prospective analysis of the sector's main challenges and opportunities towards the 2026-2030 horizon. The findings allow us to conclude that production lines in Spain are both viable and profitable, that the country possesses the structural conditions needed to establish itself as a strategic destination for industrial investment in the new era of electric mobility, and that such consolidation depends, ultimately, on a coordinated and sustained commitment from all stakeholders involved: Government, manufacturers and the supplier industry.
