The emotional impact of sexual harassment on women and its social perception

Abstract:
In this work, I will analyze sexual harassment against women, exploring the emotional impact and social perception in a sample of adult women. In adult women, exposure to sexual harassment, interpersonal objectification and its relationship with emotional distress will be measured. In parallel, social perception and acceptance of myths about harassment will be assessed in a sample of adult men and women, examining differences according to gender and age. Participants will be recruited through dissemination through my networks among close contacts. Two digital forms will be administered through Microsoft Forms, one for women and one for men and women, with demographic questions and specific questionnaires. Participation will be anonymous and will only be carried out after obtaining prior informed consent. The objective is to understand the interaction between experiences and beliefs, identify risk factors, social stigmas and guide prevention and awareness strategies
