The suspension of moral judgment: the role of moral identity and locus of control in the moral disconnection of young adults

  • Identification data

    Identifier:  TFG:9850
    Authors:  Piñol Suárez, Maria
    Abstract:
This TFG studies the role played by moral identity and locus of control in relation to the use of moral disconnection mechanisms. The study focuses on young adults between 18 and 35 years old. Based on the theories described by Stanley Milgram and Albert Bandura, it attempts to understand, in a current context, how a person's moral and cognitive self-perception of themselves acts on the final outcome of their behavior and the justification of other people's behaviors. Data collection is structured in 3 tests (Spanish validation): Moral Identity Questionnaire, Moral Disconnection Mechanisms Scale and Locus of Control Scale.
