Pornography consumption and its relationship to myths about sexuality and sexual satisfaction

Abstract:
This final degree project analyzes the relationship between pornography consumption, myths about sexuality, and sexual satisfaction in adults. A quantitative study was conducted with 120 participants using validated questionnaires. The results indicate that higher consumption, especially problematic consumption, is associated with more sexual myths and lower sexual satisfaction. Furthermore, factors such as frequency, motivations (emotional escape), and types of content influence these variables. The study concludes that pornography can shape sexual beliefs and experiences, negatively impacting the quality of intimate relationships and sexual satisfaction.
