    Abstract:
This study analyzes how the prison environment and contact with inmates modulate aesthetic sensitivity and moral disconnection. Assessing 87 participants (workers and control group) with self-image tests and the MMDS scale. The results show how prison workers obtain lower scores in DM than the control group and, DM is positively correlated with antisocial sensitivity. Professionals show more sensitivity to pleasant images and less DM the more exposure they have. It is concluded that the environment does not anesthetize but acts as a protection on the use of DM mechanisms and moral sensitivity.
