    Abstract:
This study analyzes the relationship between Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) and Joy of Missing Out (JoMO) with attachment styles, self-esteem and psychological well-being in a sample of 218 participants. The results indicate that younger people, with insecure attachment, low self-esteem and lower psychological well-being, present more FoMO. In contrast, JoMO is associated with younger people, with higher self-esteem and secure or avoidant attachment styles. The data suggest that FoMO is related to emotional vulnerability, while JoMO could include both adaptive forms of disconnection and mechanisms of social or emotional avoidance.
