Cardiorespiratory telerehabilitation based on therapeutic exercise: adherence and clinical outcomes: systematic review

Abstract:
This review analyzes adherence to and clinical outcomes of telerehabilitation programs for patients with cardiac conditions. Following PRISMA guidelines, randomized controlled trials identified in PubMed and PEDro were reviewed. Of the 44 studies identified, 9 met the inclusion criteria. Most showed a low risk of bias and positive outcomes, despite the diversity of interventions applied. Telerehabilitation demonstrated improvements in VO₂ max, functional capacity, and quality of life, with good patient adherence. However, limitations persist regarding technological challenges and a lack of studies on long-term effects and implementation.
