Abstract:
This Master´s Thesis develops the project done for the proposal of corrective actions to improve the environmental performance of a polymer producer, while complying with the legal requirements established by the EU. Methods include the organisation of analytical campaigns, collection of existing information and literature research. The study focuses on the Wastewater discharges regarding the Inhibitory Matter; and on Waste gases emitting NOx. The proposals include: to continue the study of the IM parameter to maintain control of it and, to identify as a waste the methanol generated in the production processes to be managed by a third party.
