Abstract:
This study analyzes the adaptation of electrical energy generation to demand in the Spanish Electrical System. The evolution of demand, the contribution of renewable and manageable energy, and energy storage in conventional and mixed pumping plants are examined. The results obtained are of vital importance to move towards a sustainable energy system in Spain, guaranteeing a balance between the generation and demand of electrical energy.
