Abstract:
As a main objective, the project aims to reduce the alarm nuisance obtained in the alarm system of all unit operations conforming the ethylene oxide area. In order to proceed with alarm rationalization, current alarm management standards are used, in particular ISA 18.2 standard. Once all raw data extracted from the alarm system is analysed, proper implementations in the distributed control system are implemented, aiming to obtain results close to ISA 18.2 targets regarding alarm systems.
