    Abstract:
The study investigates the role of insulin receptor 2 (InR2) during the process of imaginal moult in the prothoracic gland of the German cockroach, Blattella germanica. We analyzed the effect of inhibiting InR2 and the molt-triggering hormone, ETH, through RNA interference techniques on genes related to the synthesis of 20-hydroxyecdysone (20E), the key hormone of the molt The results show a relationship between InR2 and the 20E signaling pathway during the moulting process.
