Abstract: The aging population has increased, generating greater needs for medical and social care. Family members, especially women, assume 90% of this task, suffering a significant physical and emotional burden. Interventions such as home visits and psychoeducation reduce this burden and improve quality of life. The present systematic review evaluates the effectiveness of group interventions for informal caregivers of dependent older people. Of 359 articles, 8 were included, showing 6 significant improvements. Despite the variability of interventions, the objective was the same: to support family caregivers. In summary, group interventions effectively reduce caregiver burden, improving quality of life and having implications for health policies and programs
